Imagine orbiting our impressive world in a capsule no bigger than an average small apartment.....alone.  Under those circumstances it could prove to be an incredibly difficult feat, especially when you add an apocalyptic war that ravages the planet you once called home and you lose all "connection" to anyone you ever knew.  This is what Captain Lee Miller experiences in the Angels & Airwaves movie "L )VE" and it's this story that will be told to the public November 11th, 2011.

Two weeks ago, I was able to witness this story told via a live satellite feed from Boston, MA that was channeled into 500 movie theaters across the United States for ONE night only.  This epic story is able to capture that feeling in the pit of your stomach that comes along with the idea of being closed off to the outside world that surrounds us everyday.  Imagine this, you're in the vastness of space, with no communication and no way of getting home.  Can you imagine what that would do to your mind?  No human connection, just you and your own thoughts.  This movie starts breaking down that process in front of you and really makes you ponder about how significant human connection truly is, in today's society and what it would be like without it.

With amazing imagery to go along with the themes and connections that are felt through the context of space and time, this movie is priceless.

The film also tells the story of four other individuals that have a special outlook on life and makes a significant impact on the way we perceive our lives on a day to day basis.

This movie and companion DOUBLE album will be available to purchase on the Angels & Airwaves Modlife site at: www.angelsandairwaves.com November 11th, 2011

Shortly, after this release a U.S. tour is expected to support the new album.

Please watch this movie November 11th and think about what's important to you in life.  This movie will spark thought as well as reflection and give you a different outlook on human connection.  L )VE!

Call to Arms

Myself surrounded in music. 2009
When listening to your favorite music, what seems to be the everlasting factor that keeps you going back to it?  Is it the melody? Is it the content?  Or a mixture of the two?  No matter what the aspect may be, there's something about our favorite music that keeps us as fans and listeners coming back for more.  One things for certain, music is a very powerful aspect in anyones life whether you're a hardcore fan or a casual listener, music can take the mind and body on a effortless journey through an array of emotions.

The way I perceived music changed May 23rd, 2006.  On this day, a singer/songwriter by the name of Tom Delonge (Blink-182) released a debut album from his new project Angels & Airwaves entitled "We Don't Need To Whisper".  Right off the bat, this album deserves a listen with headphones on while in the setting of a dimly lit room.  I've never experienced an album that has literally made me feel like I was in the comforting realm of weightlessness only to be reminded of my material form by the chills running up and down my back.  It's this type of experience I get every time I listen to this 5 year old record. Which is amazing to think about because I somehow found a record that makes me feel this way every time I listen to it.  The important thing to bring up however, is the fact that I know I'm not alone when it comes to this feeling.  Angels & Airwaves has been captivating a lot of my friends as well with the same feelings and experiences.

So, what is it about Angels & Airwaves that makes them so different?

Well it has a lot to do with the thought provoking lyrics, an aspect that you don't normally hear from the big hit artist's of today.  This band has literally made me analyze the world around me and take into account the aspects that make society so hard to understand.  These are areas I wished more of us took time to think about and through that analyzation I think we as individuals can slow down from the burdens of society and really develop conclusions on the deeper meanings of life.

Angels & Airwaves has been supplying a canvas of extremely melodic anthems since 2006 and show no signs of slowing down.  Please check out their catalog:

Love (2010)

On November 11th, 2011 they'll be releasing Love Part 2 along with a film as a companion piece to add visualization to the epic themes behind their music (Look out Pink Floyd!). This Wednesday, I'll be seeing a special screening of the film and will provide my review right here on this blog!

Thank you for reading!  Always remember to breath, relax and think about the lessons you want to learn from this life experience.
